NOAA, National Ocean Service, Office of National Marine Sanctuaries

Redhorse provides administrative, technical, policy, management, and marine support services to help ONMS accomplish its obligations described under Title III of the Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act of 1972 and Executive Order 13158. Our services focus on assisting ONMS with administrative and program support, plans and policy and technical and marine support.

Redhorse has conducted analysis and provided recommendations on management plans and policy issues. We also support ONMS strategic planning activities, including editing and review of strategic planning documents.

Redhorse has conducted socioeconomic and cultural resource assessments; provided maritime archaeological expertise in support of the maintenance of Resources and Undersea Threats (RUST) and RULET databases; coordinated site Condition Reports, and assisted in designing, implementing, and maintaining the system-wide science monitoring plans (System-Wide Integrated Monitoring [SWiM] and Observing Systems). The work has also involved the design of outreach and educational materials that synthesized research, monitoring, scientific accomplishments, and site activities, and the delivery of this information through multimedia outlets to diverse audiences.
