4G/LTE Wireless Network Design and Planning (FirstNet)

The First Responder Network Authority, known as FirstNet is a major Federal initiative under the Department of Commerce and the National Telecommunications and Information Agency (NTIA). The project is aimed at planning, designing, and building a new nationwide wireless broadband 4G/LTE network dedicated to first responders. Redhorse is providing Technical Program Management and wireless subject matter expertise to support the nationwide Network Operations and Quality Task. In this capacity, Redhorse is responsible for reviewing the designated States’ Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) Business Plans, Spectrum Management Lease Agreements (SMLA’s), RAN/Core network design and architecture, site selection and acquisition, and providing the office of the CTO with detailed evaluations and recommendations for the planned full life-cycle implementation.
